Certified Green Professional (CGP)
The National Association of Home Builders' Certified Green ProfessionalTM designation recognizes builders, remodelers and other industry professionals who incorporate green building principles into homes - without driving up the cost of construction. Classwork leading to the designation provides a solid background in green building methods, as well as the tools to reach consumers, from the organization leading the charge to provide market-driven green building solutions to the home building industry.
Certified Aging-In-Place Specialist (CAPS)
The Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation program teaches the technical, business management, and customer service skills essential to competing in the fastest growing segment of the residential remodeling industry: home modifications for the aging-in-place.
NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF THE REMODELING INDUSTRY (NARI)
Certified Remodeler (CR)
NARI Certified Remodelers (CRs) are professional remodelers who provide a full range of remodeling services. To become a CR, candidates must possess skill and knowledge in a broad range of business management and technical skill areas
To qualify for the CR designation, applicants must meet all of the following:
- Be employed by or own a firm that derives at least 90% of its sales volume through remodeling work
- Adhere to NARI’s Standards of Practice and Code of Ethics
- Have a minimum of five years continuous experience in the remodeling industry
- Completed 16 hours of continuing education
- Successfully completed a comprehensive application that details their background and experience
UNITED STATES ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION AGENCY (EPA)
Lead Paint Renovator (LPR)
Vanguard Construction Company, Inc. has fulfilled the requirements of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Section 402, and has received certification to conduct lead-based paint renovation, repair, and painting activities pursuant to 40 CFR Part 745.89.
Lead Paint Renovator Certification is required all home built prior to 1978.
